they can't be a "normal" couple... it isn't a typical situation.

So are they a couple now after the deep talk last week? I don't think they're giving anything a label as of yet. I think they reached an understanding with each other and admitted that they both have feelings for one another that go beyond friendship. We need to also remember that as of right now there are still things that are not all out on the table. For example, Cat doesn't know that Vincent has been blacking out yet. She will next episode, but it's also a big part of the reason that Vincent was pushing her away last episode, along with him feeling unworthy. I think their relationship will develop from having feelings into full blown being in love at some point in the near future, but even still at that point I don't believe they will be able to put a label on it. Their relationship will always be complex.

I agree. The Cat&Vincent relationship so very complex. They do know that they are important to each other in a romantic way and he does get jealous with Evan. Cat tells Vincent she looks forward to seeing him but I think its Vincent that holds the key here. He is holding back big time because of a lot of reasons. The beast part being the biggest issue. Insecurity if he can control the beast when he and Cat does "get together". There will always be these issues he is afraid of. Adrenaline goes way high during romantic moments...lol. So much questions. Guess we just got to keep watching!

I also agree that it's too early for them to be called a couple. As it has been nicely said here, right now there is no real label to their relationship. What we know is that they both have expressed how they feel about each other and they are very open with that. They have yet to define their relationship and in some ways I kinda like that. What's important is that there is a foundation there and the relationship will continue to build as they get closer and closer.
Right now, I'm loving where they are at. That awkward last scene aside from "Worth", I don't really need to see them kiss/hug for me to know that they are starting to fall in love with each other. (Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't mind seeing a hot kiss at some point!) It's the build up that's exciting to me, and with Vincent's blackout story coming in the episode, I suspect we'll see a bit of a cool down with VinCat. They will be having more issues to deal with besides the status of their relationship. Unfortunately,I also see that happening with his fiance coming to town as well. Which means..MORE ANGST...as well and more obstacles to our beloved couple to come.

When is Vincent old flame coming back?
I am not really interested in her coming into the show. I hope it's written well. I don't want her coming to mess up the Vincent/Cat relationship.

~Milo I agree! Is it really necessary to add another obstacle to their relationship? It seems so complicated already...

I think they need to built the romantic relationship as well as the trust/understanding one. Maybe we'll see that despite all obstacles (especially the worst beast side we'll see in this episode), Catherine will not run away and it's a very important thing to me. It's a step for both of them. And i wonder why they put this fiancée in the run. Maybe to introduce some flashbacks from Vincent's life? He's not the same person anymore... He mentionned the "who I used to be" several times, after all.

Just thinking.. I believe this kiss will happen when Vincent will be able to realize that Catherine belongs to his life now, and whoever he loved before (his fiancée) can't change his feelings for her. Do you think he can reveal to this ex lover everything about his beast? I don't think so.

Exactly. 1x06 he said "The old Vincent Keller would square punch him" Would love to see that ;D Maybe we will see more of that Vincent I think his ex is like his past comming

Yep, I think these obstacles (Vincent's blackouts/Ex-fiance) are things that are critical to building up the relationship between VinCat. As we all have discussed, their relationship is very complex. It's not as simple as them just admitting their feelings for one another and jumping into a full blown relationship. It's going to be interesting how the relationship progresses throughout all these issues. What I forsee is that all these problems/issues will make their relationship/bond even better, and I'm excited to see it! You know, the more obstacles in their way...the DEEPER the emotions are between them..SEXY!!
As for the fiance, I also think there will be a lot of flashbacks about their relationship. Mainly to show who Vincent was before he became the beast. It will be interesting to see the parallels between his relationship with his ex and VinCat. Was Vincent as romantic with his ex as he seems to be with Catherine? Hmm.
I believe this kiss will happen when Vincent will be able to realize that Catherine belongs to his life now, and whoever he loved before (his fiancée) can't change his feelings for her. Do you think he can reveal to this ex lover everything about his beast? I don't think so.
I'm also curious if Vincent will approach his Ex-fiance and tell her everything. Somehow, I highly doubt it. He's already hesitant into jumping into a full blown relationship with Catherine. Partly because he doesn't want her to get hurt with Muirfield tracking him down. Catherine is clearly capable of protecting herself, his fiance if she knew about him would be in serious danger. My mind is wandering right now, but let's say he did reveal himself to his Ex-fiance. Then what? She'll be in harm's way and I could actually see them killing her off, say she got tracked down by those Muirfield baddies. That would make him even MORE hesitant to pursue Catherine...cue angst.
Sorry for my babbling..I love speculating on what's going to happen next for our couple..So much fun!! ;D
