Thanks, Anapi! (And to take a line from Oliver Twist and use it to my benefit, "PLEASE MAM, can I have some MORE? " Is Cat's bridal shower going on at the same time as Vincent's party? And REALLY would love more details on Cat's mom's tape and why she breaks down at the bridal shower!!!!!!

Definitely have to say that my top two episodes of the season would be this one and “The Beast of Wall Street”. ditto - though I prefer this one. I absolutely loved the proposal scene of course but overall as an episode I prefer this

This episode is sounding better and better!!! Still dying for more details here!!!
(And I LOVED "Requiem." Those last 5 eps of KK's in Smallville's Season 8 were, in my opinion, her best work on the whole series. It showed a grown-up, mature Lana who would have been so perfect for Clark, especially with her newly-found powers. Lex totally screwed them over, but that LAST scene where she runs out of the barn. . . .I have NEVER been able to see that one without crying! Even though, as a huge Superman comics and previous tv-show fan, I had always thought NOTHING would make me waiver from a Clark/Lois=Destiny pairing. By the end of "Requiem," I was Clark/Lana all the way, even though you KNEW it was never to be.
Although I still maintain my belief that the writers secretly developed that whole "alternate universe" crystal in the hopes of luring KK and some of the others back in order to give fans the "happy" Clark/Lana ending in another universe. But KK declined the invite. Sigh. Would have been epic!)
So in line with the above, HOW WOULD THIS EPISODE compare to the emotional fallout of "Requiem?"

Also, does BOB Reynolds contribute anything? Do we think he actually knows anything? HOW does he play into all of this, or is he just there for comedy-relief?

And REALLY would love more details on Cat's mom's tape and why she breaks down at the bridal shower!!!!!! Nope. V's party and C's shower occur at different times. I'm glad and happy V's party went down the way it did. Poor Vincent was too uncomfortable and begging JT to help him Cat's bridal shower: Catherine has an emotional outburst. Tells everyone that her mum was not a good person and that she's the reason why Vincent is the way he is. She then storms out Bob tells Catherine to open the box her mum left her. She finds photos of her and her mum and a tape. We see Vanessa explain to Catherine that she works for bad people but she started working with them because she wanted to help. She tells her to find love and not let work get in the way. She tells her she loves her and while she's recording the phone rings. We see Vanessa answer the phone and talking to Catherine who's calling her because her car won't start (first scene from Pilot)!! Catherine breaks down and we see that Heather overhead/watched the whole thing and they both cry and hug each other!

What I loved most about this episode is the, suspense, drama, mystery, more importantly, the emotional journey Cat went through (past and present), finding that closure, and Vincent knowing who his real friends/family are.

So how did Bob know about the box??? Especially since Vanessa gets Cat's call (by the by, just saying it now---that scene may just do me in when I see it!) as she was making the tape (and probably wasn't through with it). Would mean she would have HAD to have called Bob on the way out to get Cat? Or else told Thomas, who told Bob?

And the comments about vincent's bachelor party --WHY is Vincent looking/pleading with JT? Is it because of the stripper or the cousins? And what are the cousins like? Why is there no family connection there? And do we know why Aaron wasn't present--he would have been the easiest to find, one would think?

alwayscrazedbatbfan Here is the short version because I have to go to bed. Vincat are visiting churches trying to find the perfect place for the wedding. Heather is still in charge of planning. Cat is dragging her feet because she has issues with the mysterious big bad, Vincent being in danger and her long dead mother. JT rounds up some of Vincent's distant cousins for a bachelor party. Cat's mom's sisters are in town from Albany for her shower. Poor Heather gets stuck entertaining them because Cat is avoiding everything tied to her mother. Vincent's cousins are a couple of steps above Tess's brothers. Well, two are okay and one would fit in with Tess's brothers. They go to Vincent's favorite bar and a cop comes to arrest Vincent. The cop is really a stripper and Vincent is mortified. Vincent hears gun shots and runs out to discover some ordinary citizen shooting up the neighborhood. Vincent subdues him in a very nice scene of controlled beast butt kicking. Loud mouth cousin gets shot in the leg. Team Vincat discovers that people are being infected with a virus form of the proto-beast DNA. Vincat goes to visit Bob at the prison to find out if he can give them any leads on who might be behind this latest threat. Bob is smarmy as ever, but at least is decent toward Vincent. I still don't like Bob. Bob tells Vincent that everyone he knows that was involved with the project is dead, but that Vincent should be able to track the person spreading the virus. JT gives Vincent a sample of blood and Vincat track down the culprit who happens to be a bike messenger. The guy resists arrest and ends up killing himself in a daredevil jump, but he's taken pictures of Vincat. Team Vincat meet at JT's to discuss the day. Vincent tells JT that he's found his family and it's not those distant cousins. Cat goes home and looks into a box she was given at some point by Bob (more thoughts on that later). She discovers a tape that Vanessa made for her the night she was killed. Vanessa's message helps Catherine release her anger and grief. Vincat meet back at the church that started the episode. Cat is ready to move ahead, but they are interrupted by smoke bombs, just escaping before some other super enhanced guy in a hoodie crashes through the roof. The end.

JT and Catherine arranged the meeting with his cousin's in secret. They wanted to surprise Vincent. Well his cousins turned out to be complete jerks! Apparently they have always been envious of V and his brothers due to their success and 'martyrdom' We later find out they only attended to use Vincent's help because the main cousin wanted to run for mayor or something. They thought V's fame would help. V tells them off (loved that scene) and tells them he doesnt need them.

ANAPI,
Maybe not a plot hole afterall, knowing how Bob Reynolds is. I can see him breaking into Thomas and Vanessa's home after she is killed, looking for just WHY Muirfield chose to kill her when they did--especially since Bob was working with Muirfield at the time (although he may have kept the relationship a secret, which would be why Muirfield would think Bob wouldn't want retribution after the murder of the scientist). And maybe he then found the tape AND placed it in the box, knowing it was for THEIR daughter.
Or could have been that Bob contacted Thomas after Vanessa's murder in order to enquire how Cat was doing. And Bob told him about what Vanessa had left for her. . . .
LOL! We Beasties just CAN'T leave any stone unturned without happily over-analyzing it!! I just love us Beasties!!!!!!!

I just hope VinCat don't end up getting married in a church. Rooftop please!!! I would have said fire escape but that place is too small Although after watching this ep I'm thinking the only people present at the wedding will be Tess, JT and Heather. I like!! So maybe the fire escape will work!! :yippee:
