As to the script tease, I see multiple possibilities. The one that makes the most sense to me for the writers/BKern to try is the following: Vincent has been trying to push towards being engaged and/or married (or at least defining some sort of timeline for where they are going). Cat, however, just wants to enjoy being a couple in the moment and to keep things open. Especially given their job requirements, beast issues, etc. She doesn't see why Vincent has to push the issue or why he would be upset that she just isn't willing to commit to a definite future. When Carol implies that maybe Catherine resents Vincent for wanting to settle down when she doesn't, Cat comes to realize that she already DOES see herself spending the rest of her life with Vincent and that she IS ready to go to the next step. It takes her hearing herself admit out loud about what she truly wants and how she sees her life going.
Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman had a similar plotline. Lois and Clark decided that there was too much pressure with being engaged, and they would just enjoy being a couple. INSTEAD, they realized that they just weren't discussing the issue and making it worse--each of them had nightmares (which were fairly funny skits where they each saw themselves as characters from other tv shows). In the end, NOT discussing and planning was far worse then sitting down and actually figuring out where the problems were in the relationship and what was keeping them from moving forward. In Cat's situation, it may be the previous baggage from Season 2 and her fears, deep down, that their relationship wouldn't last being tested with the whole beast issues all over again. Because as much as Vincent tries to move forward, he has to use his beast side to solve cases despite wanting a normal life. So normal will never be possible, just as it wasn't for Lois and Clark. PLUS, in Lois and Clark's case, the secret identities and special powers meant always being a target with the other person potentially being used against the other. Definitely something that VinCat has to worry about as well. And Cat could have been mulling these issues over in her mind without realizing what her concerns were and being unable to talk to Vincent about them.
Any way you look at it, it does appear that Cat will have one of those "ah ha!" moments or epiphanies about her relationship with Vincent as a result of the conversation. Which we will ALL enjoy.

maybe they will be at that time lol -- not likely i know but a woman can dream right ? Amen to the last part ! really a little fun can be good to light the mode and the dark events but to turn the show to a sitcom ?! not good at all imo !

I really don't know what to think about this feature.... I'm afraid they speed things up too much... I want to see Vincat deciding to live together or get engaged or married. And I want a lot of seasons too... So I am worried!

I want them to end up together but I don't want it to be rushed. but end up together in tv shows usually comes in the last episode of the series ?! that is not good enough for me ! and after what we suffered in s2 from their heart breakable break up i never want them to break up or separate again , i want them to have obstacles and drama but face them together without separation or doubts ! as for be rushed i think its about time to take their relation to the next level after all of the hell the went through for 2 years ! 2 years is enough time to be sure about their relation and decide to get engaged or married ! it doesn't have to take them 20 years to do so , life is short you know specially in their case

First off. ..if they get married it doesn't mean we can't have more seasons. .so much can happen..season 4 she could get pregnant and the outcome of that be season 4 cliffhanger with Cat having the baby and not knowing until season 5 the outcome and in season 5 protecting the child from those that know what he is. So there's so much potential even if they get married
BONES is a show that the couple are married and we're on season 10 there.

Sorry, I don't know if I've made myself clear. It's not that I don't want them to get engaged or married. Of course I want it! But I want to see the whole process in well written episodes, not rushed and nonsense ones... So let's hope they do it well in just 3 or 4 episodes. That's why I am worried.
