Apparently this episode is now called "Till Death Do Us Part" Ksite and FutonCritic both have this as the title BTW Does anyone know if this was an official CW ad or did a fan add the tag line "Till Death Do They Part"

OK I was really looking forward to the real VinCat wedding but this now makes me wonder if they've done some editing given that we have a 4th season and slipped in a cliffhanger....

Or maybe reordering of the scenes to make it end on the more dramatic cliffhanger portion??? The change in title and now the delay in the finale. Is it because they are making changes and they need more time? It's not like the Labor Day weekend date was just announced or anything. When they sent out the original schedule they could have noticed back then that the finale was falling on the Thursday before a long holiday weekend. If it is just because of the holiday and not for time to make changes, what is Showcase going to do. Canada celebrates Labor Day the same weekend. Are they going to delay and air the episode on the Sunday before the Holiday or are they going to stick to their original schedule and air the episode 11 days before the CW does?

Didn't they change the original season premiere date from the originally scheduled date??

Jason Gedrick @gee_dunk: Finale Episode S3 delayed one week. Not to worry Beasties! #BATBpippin and tonysol I hadn't thought about the delay being an opportunity to edit the episode. Considering we're getting a fourth season, I'd love to see this season end on a cliffhanger. Yep, I'm a sucker for those

I certainly wouldn't mind a real cliff hanger. If they were smart about it, they could have planned something much sooner. They had the whole cast back shooting again since May. They could have re-shot the ending to make it a bigger cliffhanger, not only just doing further edits to the previous footage. And if they did alter the ending of the episode, does it have anything to do with the title change? Perhaps they are not "Destined" after all?
Having said that, I really have my doubts that the one week delay has anything to do with further edits or changes to the ending. More likely just a programming decision just like the premiere date change.
Still not sure what good changing the premiere date from May 21 to June 11 did either.

@beastieboy You're probably right, but I'm just wondering why the title change as well. "Destined" was such a great title, unless they want to reserve that till the series finale The only time I remember that line being used in the show was when cat and Vincent were heading to Niagara Falls to lure Julianna's assassin away from NY, so it gives me a sense of forboding. But then again, I see conspiracies everywhere.

I directly asked Jason yesterday whether the postponing of the episode had anything to do with editing changes. And here's his answer:
Jason Gedrick @gee_dunk: @mus1c_ no they have had months to edit. It's already been a fantastic Ep!!! #BATB

The CW's whole fall schedule seemingly got delayed and is not starting until October. So it may have to do with them wanting summer programming to air as much into September as possible. Plus, with every little possible fraction of a ratings point being needed for us, it definitely makes sense to avoid airing before a major holiday weekend like Labor Day.
As to the episode title change, the current title definitely implies an action-oriented episode and deals with the here and now while the previous title, "Destined" really makes you think future possibilities. And a previous spoiler had been that a major player died towards the end of 313. However, I wouldn't think anyone would be dying in this episode, unless it was Liam, as we know the regular cast is all back for the filming of Season 4.
Maybe they just wanted to imply that the episode isn't JUST about VinCat's destiny, as they would most certainly be finishing up the season-arc first and having to deal with Liam PLUS wedding. And that may be the REAL reaon to change the title, as it would lead fans to believe that the Wedding does, in fact, take place in this one.
Sigh. The Digital Age just makes it so easy for networks to move around anything they want. Not so easy on the fans, like myself, that want the episodes without delay. But then again, I have to most likely wait almost a YEAR before I get Season 4.
